Support the club
Keep the lum reekin’ at 37 Union Street
We are one of the very few Burns clubs in the world to own our own rooms, and we have kept Burns alive in Dundee since 1860. There is no grant behind us: the club runs on members’ subscriptions, event income and the goodwill of friends. Every one of us is a volunteer.

Donate
Give a gift to the club
A donation of any size helps us look after a historic building, care for our collection and keep our events open to everyone. You do not need to be a member to give.
Pay securely by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or give in person at the club bar. If you would rather pay by bank transfer, email the Secretary for details.
Giving in memory of someone, or want your gift to go to something specific, like the library? Say so in the note when you pay and we will make sure it does.

What your support pays for
Current appeal
A new cooker for the club kitchen
Our cooker has reached the end of its working life. A new one will keep the kitchen ready for our Burns Suppers, St Andrew’s Night dinner and club events. When you give, add “Cooker” in the note at checkout and your gift will go to the appeal.

Our historic rooms
Upkeep, heating, insurance and repairs for a Category B listed building that has been the club’s home for around a hundred years.
The library and archive
Caring for our collection of Burns and Scottish poetry, and cataloguing photographs and papers going back to the 1800s.
The Brooksbank Room
Turning our pool room into a space that tells the story of Dundee’s writers.
Music and talks
Keeping our slow sessions, music Sundays and talks affordable and open to everyone.
Our heritage
Projects like a copy of our 1880 silk banner, so it can come home to the club rooms.
