Music at the Burns Club – 2pm, 14 September 2025
Join us for more traditional music on a Sunday afternoon at Dundee Burns Club. Banjo, fiddles, guitar, a double bass and, we’re hoping, some Border Pipes will be put to good use in a session in the Club’s historic Rooms.
Marshalled by Banjo Brian Mckay, musicians will include Scott Carnegie, Johnny Duncan, Coralea, Steve, Suzanne Gray, Kevin Thompson, Jim Duke, Stewart & Anne Brown from Lowland Folk, Ted Pollytello and Wilson Omand.
Music starts at 2 pm, but the doors (and the bar) will open at 1 pm. You can book on eventbrite … https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/music-at-the-burns-club-tickets-1640258209459?aff=oddtdtcreator

The Club hosts Music at the Burns Club, a traditional folk music session brought together by “Banjo” Brian Mckay; talks such as Paul Philippou’s presentation on the poetry of William Soutar; a St Andrews’ Night celebration and three Burns Suppers to celebrate the Bard’s birthday in January.
We joined together with our Ukrainian friends to read poetry from their national poet, Shevchenko, and from Burns; and trades unionists held a reception in the Club after their May Day rally.
The Club is also used for family and social events.
